I grew up watching my mom flip through the glossy pages of Essence magazine. It was always on the coffee table—full of beautiful Black women, bold ideas, and stories that made me believe in something bigger. As a little girl in Liberty City, I didn’t know how… but I knew I wanted to be in those pages one day.
Fast forward to now, and Curve Fest Miami—my baby, my vision, my movement—is featured on Essence.com. And when I say this is a full-circle moment? I mean it with my whole chest.

Curve Fest started as a dream to create a space for plus-size women to feel seen, celebrated, and centered. Not just tolerated. Not pushed to the sidelines. CENTERED. We’ve been loud, we’ve been bold, and we’ve been outside—showing the world that curves don’t cancel confidence. If anything, they amplify it.
Being featured in Essence is more than a highlight—it’s a reminder that what we’re building is real. It’s impactful. And it’s necessary.

This isn’t just a party. It’s a movement.
Curve Fest Miami is about reclaiming joy. It’s about showing up in every size, every shade, and every shape with pride. It’s about music, culture, community, and the kind of energy that only happens when we come together with purpose and power.
So yes, I’m emotional. I’m grateful. And I’m fired up.
The lineup is out. The momentum is building. And July 20th? We’re making history in Miami. I want you there—dancing, celebrating, building, connecting, and being part of this legacy.
Because this isn’t just my moment—it’s ours.
See you at Curve Fest Miami.
